Early years (Socialist Federal Republic of Herzegovina)[]

The year is 2002. The Yugoslav wars that have divided the people of the Balkans have finally ended, and many are longing for the "Good old days" of Titoism, and a Political Party rises in the region of Herzegovina, known as the Workers' Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This party would have faded into obscurity, had it not been for this sudden rise in Pan-Yugoslav Nostalgia, as people began associating the party with Tito as it had many Titoist values. The Party was able to gain control of the region of Herzegovina, which then became a Bosnian Satellite state, which was struggling for independence for decades.

Years later, a country known as the New Yugoslav Federation was established, which agreed to a joint invasion of Bosnia with the SFRH, which led to Bosnia's defeat and Herzegovina's sovereignty.

Transitionary Period[]

During the Invasion of Bosnia, Nationalism began to rise in Herzegovina. With this, a new political party was formed, known as the "Hercegovina Prva", or "Herzegovina First" party. It quickly rose to power, replacing the Titoist Workers' party as the dominant political party in Herzegovina. During this time, several significant Worker's Party members had disappeared without a trace.

Media Blackout and Bosniak Exodus[]

After the successful defeat of Bosnia at the hands of the (now collapsed) NYF and Herzegovina, the Herzegovinan government imposed a media blackout on all of their territories. However, one notable bit of activity on the NYF's side of the border was massive amounts of Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) civilians being deported. However, official Herzegovinan propaganda claims that there were no Bosniaks in the region to begin with, and that Herzegovina was populated entirely by Serbs and Croats.
